What is the cause of the point market decline?

For almost the first 3.5 years the price per point was above 60k. This is followed by almost 3 years of a steady mid 52-54k price per point. I believe during this time you could sell points to the pawn shop for 50k per point, which could net you some quick profit from flower/plushie running.

Over the course of the past 3 months points have slowly declined from an average of 52k to sub 50k per point. Also during this time changes have been made to the museum to allow users to turn in more than one exotic set at a time.

I mean who the **** cares

Use your pixel money to ****ing but whatever the cost

Can't figure out who the bigger losers are in this game, revivers or traders

is the old pessimistic forum troll DUDE DUDE back? All your replies are negative these days. Get some rest man, it seems you need it.

Ontopic: Like wollongong said. Reformer and KK are not inflating prices again. This means wall sitting noobs can't afford to buy points and other daily items anymore. The price will probably drop to 48k since the price is still steadily decreasing every day.

its all just market correction without KK and refs dollars and their trickle down effect.

Cost/prices reducing is often a good thing for people with dollars but to those who run flowers/plushies they tend to make less per run.

I'd imagine DPs dropping to 24.7(like they were before inflating) and points to stay stagnant around 49k

I've asked this a couple of time now, but still no answers. Will try again. Do you ppl that sell points feel to have decreased the quantity of points sold (daily)?
Claire [1971751]
I think the prices will become stable as time passes. The point prices were artificially inflated by cheaters like Reformer and Kapten
oraN [1778676]
I don't have a definitive answer for this but in a way Yes.

if you added points for 52999 when they were selling at 53000 it would sell in a minute or 2 hence why I always asked everyone that sells me SEs to buy points/xanax

right now though if you add points at 49,999 when points sell for 50,000 they may be gone in 5 to 10 minutes. and damn points sell very slowly, right now I am selling them as well and each batches of 500 sell every 10 or 15 minutes.

so possibly the quantity of points sold has gone down but it may be hard to find out by how much.
Sweetiest [2187330]
Could have slowered the sell, and I am checking the point market often and I saw this too (even if I don't trade in points).
But. Your daily sell in quantity, of points, has it really lowered?

Do you take datas about your transactions?
oraN [1778676]
Sweet sweet data? here you go (I have clearly not bought any in last 4 days and minimal before that)

my quantity sold has gone down and I never do private sales only museum -> points market.
Sweetiest [2187330]
Who leads the prices for DPs and for Points it is the Pawn shop not the players.
So, if you want to know why them are lowering, ask Ched. He knows for sure.

For years, a steady stream of money has been introduced with bookies 1.0 and item duplication.
Both are now gone, and less money is being generated as a community.

IMO, we are seeing the affects of the markets stabilizing.

There are actually three forces at work I think. A lot of investors were in the TUN-Insurgency War at that hurts demand. You have the mass redemption at the museum and you have more runners/travelers.

Seems like it. Points prices are down, but so is everything else so everyone is making just as much money as before if you adjust it.

But, Private Islands have a fixed price so new players will get hit by this. Players who only buy from the market will be up money
