all chat tabs have gone apart from the trade chat ...only since the down time today

Is this still an issue?
Have you tried clearing your cache?

If you go to the blue Cog in bottom right and reactivate your faction, company, etc chats, they will come back. Just click enabled again (even though they are already on enabled)
