You guys liked my last idea so much (you didn't), that I had another one I had to share!
FINANCING FOR LARGE PURCHASES
More than just a Duke loan, this would be for the larger purchases such as a Private Island, if you want to win that auction or if you want to buy that Cosworth, you can take out a loan. (You'd initiate the loan from the purchase section for the item).
You can base eligibility based on net worth, time played, if you have the Duke loan good credit honor, etc.
It would be bank based of course and if you miss enough payments (3?) in a row, you lose the item you financed (with no refund of what you have paid into it!)
PERSONAL LOAN TRACKER
Second idea: A game based tracker for personal loans as well.. which would encourage player loan sharks. Another way for bigger players to make money. You don't pay them? Its up them to enforce payments. (Which would, in turn, encourage merchants to raise their fighting skills).
I am toying with the idea of the personal loan tracker (with no control by either players) giving a thumbs up or down(based on timely payments) that's visible on any character that gets a player loan.. approximating a credit score..
But honestly, that's a little too realistic.. I am not so sure on that.
