Laughing at a dialogue delivered superbly at the right moment and with the right expressiveness by the actors fitting perfectly at the scenario provided in a sitcom or rom-com or any comedy movies or even books is easy but we often forget the huge amount of time, work and thoughts that are put into it to make it that much perfect by the dedicated writers.
Creating a comedy and coming up with ideas that are literally funny are very hard. The most common question being " Will it make the readers/audience laugh?"
Usually what you think is funny might not be the same for a few or maybe some others. Everyone has different ideas on what comedy should mean and be like.
So, what's your view on writing Comedy?

I think being a comedian, would be one of the hardest things to do now.  You would always have to make sure your material wouldn't offend anyone. Which would almost be impossible in today's world.
There are a lot of older comedians that wouldn't make it today.  Because there material would be considered inappropriate.

Watch Golden Girls. The script is brilliant! Funny without going too over the top. 👌 You can learn a thing or two from it.
