Here's why -- they have style and put some effort into their content. Often, their message captured a mood at the time.

These posts are selected from the Best of 2018, by players also known for occasional shit-posting. These posts got decent karma and (in most cases) a lot of replies.

I will agree, Evil-Duck puts work into his content, even if I don't always think it's quality. Dude does the same, but only occasionally. Now, new ones like Diabolique have yet to reach their level, still just kinda posting whatever. Notice that all of the threads you listed are related to Torn. Whether it's faction wars or some other thing, they relate to the game. I personally think that people come to the GD forum to see info related to the game. There is an entire non-related section for other posts, but people use this for whatever they feel the need to post. THAT is why all the posts that don't matter get downvoted.

Champion has an over inflated karma score. One day Bogie will eventually find out hes got some kind of hax going that doubles the upvotes he is given and halves the downvotes as well.
