I have over 2000 credits but haven't seen a book to purchase, so far I have only done very hard and below, not any expert missions, so have I not unlocked books? When missions were out I didn't know about books and spent about 1400 on weapon modifiers. Checking the wiki I don't see anything that mentions unlocking books for sale. Any help with be appreciated.

I don't want to create new topic, but when new missions will appear? I done all first missions on beginner.
Just keep doing missions, what I've done is cycling through cheap items and keeping my mission credits relatively high so when I do find them I am able to buy them. You are just getting unlucky with the book selection, I haven't seen too many of them, and of the ones I've seen I've only actually bought one.... Have I seen more that I've wanted than just one? Yes, but the key is to keep a healthy stockpile of credits so when you do spend them you don't dip down below the amount to get a bunch of books.
Missions appear once a day assuming you aren't at the limit of uncompleted mission, which for most players is 3.

The books appear randomly and they can be quite rare to have in the store.

and yes, books are random drops. You can increase drop chances by buying all the rubbish that pops up super cheap, like for less than 10 points, It frees up the slot and maybe a book will spawn in it's place.

Been trying to buy cheap stuff, like 80 points or less to open more slots, still no books. Feels bad man.
Just bad luck I think if you haven’t come across a book. No need to do anything to unlock them, they just come out at random a low % of the time.

I saw a book around 10 days ago for around 1600 points but it wasn't one I wanted so I left it hoping the next one will be better for me.
How much do books cost (more or less)? So I can keep a good stock of credits
it varies roughly around 1200 - 2000 mission points,
this is what I do, In my 450 somewhat days I have come across two books through missions, and did not have any credits to buy one of them. I never dip below 2k credits buying the cheaper items now
Ive had 2 books come u in my 200 days. And both times I didn't have the credits to get them( one was after a week of playing). Now that I have enought to get one, I haven't seen a book..
Got a book in my mission store atm but don't have the creds to buy it, such is life I guess.
