The latest patch basically killed off NPC raiding.

- Changed hospital time of NPCs upon defeat to 100 - 120 minutes (reduction)
- Changed rarest NPC loot to be unavailable at lower loot levels
- Changed loot level to start increasing on NPCs immediately after they come out of hospital
- Changed loot level to increase substantially quicker: 30, 90, 210, 450 (minutes)

Undo all of that and it should go back to being a normal feature of the game and not one where the NPCs basically never get attacked the moment they're out of the hospital.
I know that the phrase I just wrote sounds like a good idea, but in reality you either get your faction as an organised group to attack, thus NPC raiding becoming a top 20 HoF feature and excludes 99,9% of the players or as an outsider you watch the attack page for 1-2 hours straight, thus eliminating from raiding everyone else.

Why introduce this raiding feature if you take it away in this manner? Where's the quality control on this patch?

The amount of people attacking Duke had dropped off significantly even before this change, there were a few instances where hours had passed with no attacks.

Now that the loot level is visible it makes sense that people wait a while before attacking, you can still get good loot with approximately the same wait time as before (4+ hours) as a result of the hosp time now being lower.

The main question though is how is it determined who gets the loot, . Does it go by who get's the most hit's or does the most damage , or the most damage in a single hit or is it just random.

As far as I understood the mechanic...for every action you do in the last 10 minutes before the hospitalization of a NPC you get a "ticket". Maybe some actions are worth more tickets (like getting the finishing hit or best damage or whatever), maybe not.

In the end, all the "tickets" get into a pool and a lottery-like system decides the winning ticket. So. the more you do, the more chances you have. I feel that's fair enough for everyone.

I understand what you're saying, I've been using it for quite a while and I've adapted it to the new system.
But we shouldn't need to rely on an addon that may stop working at any moment to be able to compete with the skiddies or the true "no-lifers".

as far as I’m aware every hit provides a chance of looting, the more hits dealt against the npc, the more chances/entries to loot.

think of it as a raffle where every hit equals one entry
