After travelling for a while now and at times starring at the amazing image that is the torn airline plane screen, I usually read the little message/facts that show up on the page but recently I started thinking about actual planes and how statistically you're more likely to get in a car crash than a plane crash. Well maybe I've gone mad from checking my torn too many times and seeing the plane page but I noticed in Torn you can get into a car crash but how about a plane crash?

So the way it would work, in my head, is that you have a very slim chance (randomly) to get into a plane crash and when this occurs you arrive at your destination ahead of time but you arrive in the hospital.

This creates a way for revivers to be much more useful offshore and also creates an decrease in travel time for those that like to run plushies/flowers/drugs/ect. This would also give traveling a somewhat interesting dynamic. Hospital time and the time trigger for pane crash of course would be subject to change based on what would be acceptable.

tl;dr, plane crash mechanic, %chance at arriving to destination but in hospital

The consequences of a car crash when racing are vastly different to that of a plane crash. Some players practically can't afford to lose out on precious hours abroad, as running items is their only source of income. There's no "fun" upside of this, no one will react positively to a crash. Also aren't you contradicting yourself here?

"... to get into a plane crash and when this occurs you arrive at your destination ahead of time but you arrive in the hospital."

"... also creates an increase in travel time for those that like to run plushies/flowers/drugs/ect."

There are only downsides, decent suggestion but you're overlooking a few things.

Yeah my bad meant decrease in travel time. Edited.

But as you said
" running items is their only source of income. There's no "fun" upside of this, no one will react positively to a crash."

the whole point is that if a crash happens it will get the player to their destination faster thus increasing the speed at which they can run items back and forth the down side is just you will be in the hospital for a bit unless someone can revive you.
