Pub for farming crime merits,
Law firm if they will put you in a plane hijack/PA and pay you for it.
Eventually you will have the CE to do those OC's on your own without a law firm.
I would pick a pub for any/every crime merit hunter.

I feel pub is worthwhile while building you NNB as well. I'm planning on spending next year in one.
I have 20 nerve since level 11 through to 15. I have a balaclava as well and I get jailed nearly every single time I attempt a Thorough Armed Robbery...I have over 1000 + Thefts which consist of Jackets, Mansions, and Apartments which I find to be the safest for me. Never ever getting jailed for apartments. I am not sure what has happened to destroy my Crime XP so hard. Not many others seem to have the issue I am having...
Great guide !!! :)
Thanks to combined effort of ReyDuvall and a member loaned from ShadowRazers (shout out to TRex), we ran a few test with regards to PA seeing that Alex had only ran a singular test on PA to determine it's Arsons worth.
As you may have already read in my previous posts that OC failures even with jailing don't cause a CE loss. The way we did this test was to put up a team which was guaranteed to fail and the test member with vanilla 60nnb placed as #2. They did not lose their CE with 2 PA failures in a row, one with and one without jailing. They didn't gain any CE either, this was later tested out after 2nd PA failure.
As phase II of the project, ReyDuvall decided to carry the vanilla 60 nnb member as his #2 along with 2 strong 55s as #3 and #4 to test out various aspects of PA, including CE gains, faction upgrade Criminality and position in PA affecting the CE gains. After 3 rounds of testing, and recording the crimes to get back 60nnb in each case, a data fit was done with the assumption of 15k Arsons as the base for vanilla 60 nnb, 1% CE loss per drug deal jailing, each drug deal giving approx 0.5x Arsons worth of CE. It took 5 drug deal jailings to drop down to 55 nnb in each case and approximate worth of PA comes out to 652.5 Arsons.

Although, I trust Alex's number of 150 Arsons per jailing, it's an average number from what I gather, the number can vary between 150-160 Arsons worth. The number that my test subject got from the singular testing was 158 Arsons. So it is quite possible that each individual crime success gives a slightly varying CE which averages out over a big sample size. If I recall correctly, Arson warehouse gives a variety of outcome with reward money varying from 9k to 14k, so it is possible that there is a slight variance in CE gains too. This is, again, Alex's theory and I happen to agree to it. Seeing that in my results, step I vs step II, we did 189 drug deal success vs 181 drug deals success, but it still took 25 Arsons to get back to 60 in both cases.
The number is based on lot of assumptions. Each assumption assuming lowest possible factor, so the PA's worth is on the bare minimum side. If we were to assume higher base CE for 60 nnb and/or higher multiplier for drug deals (0.57x as per my results) the PA worth can go as high as 750 Arsons.!

Question:. I've started doing kidnapping the mayor at 35nnb.
I have not gotten a failure result. What is the failure condition that requires you to hold 75k? I mean does it give you a blue or a red? I've only seen her pull away in her car.
I've done over 100 at this point and have been expecting to see something other than greens and blues.

You need to have money on hand atleast $75k but I always have like $1mil on hand incase I fail 2 or 3 in a row. When you fail you go to jail and lose alot of ce if you don't have $75k on hand.
Yes so my question is what's the failure chance. I've done at least 100 without a failure. What does it look like when you fail and have 75k on hand? I have yet to notice losing money or failing. I remember 80% of the time to have cash on me. There's no way I've been so luck that I haven't failed yet.
What does the result come back as? Blue or red, what does it say I've only seen it say she gets away in her limo.

it is a red result. But it is very rare. If you see the red result and have 75k at hand, you are fine, otherwise you get jailed. Can't tell you the wording, though. I don't read them anymore, haha
its red like when you got hospitalized from failing arson, youll get it sooner or later
Thank you both. I'd have expected to see one by now.
I have decided to stick to arson for a while as I'm close to my next merit.

If the goal is neither NNB nor merit, which crime give the best money income?
Hacking. I think the FBI gives the most.
At what NNB can you try it?

Someone in my faction started at 40. Personally I'm at 35, I haven't given it a try and I won't be. Mersca_Milnota posted a guide that will give you all the information you need.
