should sector 7 be expanded, I think sector 7 should be expanded or there could be land that is close to sector 7 that could be turned into sector 7 territory.

alittle more room would be nice, its very hard to find place for new formed factions.
not much, but alittle bit around the map. useless areas. but still areas so new factions whit new players have a chance to start.
its not fun if everybody joined only well establish factions. the player growth is expanding rapidly, the map is static.

Edit - sorry misread. Please ignore.
he mean expanding the borders of the map further whit new sector 7 areas.
if the bigger fish were forced to move in somehow it'd probably solve the same problem. Why they don't go in for the better daily respect i don't have an answer for you, but there are 90+ member factions taking up a very large chunk of the outer ring making it impossible to move through lol (with lots of unclaimed in the middle)
the unclamied in the middle is often guarded by big faction familys, so its very hard to get to. rackets will only make this harder as these faction familys will buy more factions and hold around the edges were many rackets are. so the map is very cramped.
For sure - I don't have a solution for you - but i don't personally think making it bigger solves the problem either - you shouldn't be able to just walk in and take a territory with no effort.
I guess my point was - the 'bigger' fish will just do what they have done now and fill those and we will be in the same boat.
its a rough circle, the 90+ outter ring don't want to move in because they can't take on a top100 in the middle, the new factions can't take on the 90+'s because no established player is going to join a faction that provides nothing.

There is such a land...it is called sector 6.
Good point, the land available is not enough BUT that is the point. It’s not a right, it’s a reward. You fight for tiles.
Saying that, most sectors have areas that aren’t claimable, for example above the museum area there is a roundabout/overpass thing which is just dead space. Roads should all be divided into tiles, low respect but still active tiles.

Yes, and not even all territory upgrades have been unlocked, there would be even less space available for new factions when factions can claim up to 25. I support an expansion of the map. I think that everyone should be able to get territories, with the fight still for the better quality territories.
There is limited territory because ched wants people to war for it. Why should peaceful factions get any territory when factions are meant to war.
Yes!
Recruit, train and chain.
Fight for the area you want to control. You see someone holding blank spots knock on their doors.
Yes the daily rep is nice but it's a far cry from good rep gain.
While I sympathize with a lot of the smaller factions, how many 5-6 people factions are there holding two-three territories. Three-four 5 man factions can easily become two 10 man factions. Better rep per day holding three territories instead of two each and an easier time hitting those 100-250 chains.

100% this
Sector 8?!
Nahhh.. Sector 8'd doesnt have the same ring to it

Well, isn't that the point, that as a newcoming faction, you have to fight for your little place on the map?
Do note, as I recall, you do not HAVE to play the territory game.

fight for it? duuhh
territory is a choice, not a requirement
territory is a choice, not a requirement
That area is designated for sector 8 in territories 3.0
Rural areas around Torn would still have massive amounts of crime due to this black black hearted city. Maybe throw in some hills and farmers fields, maybe some truck stops and divebars next to mobile trailer parks. There's already ranches and trailers... haven't checked where the trailer property gets generated on the map, it should be in shitsville though. And while I'm on a roll, do something about that military base on the east side.
It may not be necessary now, but in the future I definitely see it becoming an absolute must. The system was designed when torn had approximately 20k daily players, we're over 30k now, and hopefully will be at 50k daily players in the near future. So unless they decide to increase the maximum faction capacity, I definitely think this needs to be done within the next year or two.
