Depending on how the script is coded, you would lose some exp or gain very little, and the one you lost to will gain a small amount of exp. You can test it by flying to China and using the crystal ball.

As far as I know, level exp doesn't work as crime exp does. I think once you have it, you have it. I don't know of anything proven to reduce level exp, never heard of any one dropping down a level either...

The one you lost to will gain experience, but it will be reduced significantly after subsequent losses until it gives 0 experience. Otherwise you could level by buying losses. Which did happen in the past.

If you search "Baldr's Guide" on the forums you will get an amazing guide that includes levelling targets.

These are players who are inactive and have low stats for their level.

There are two factors to consider - stats and life. Start with the lower levels and work your way up. The higher the level of the target the more life they have, meaning you may lose against a level 24 even if your stats are better.

I used this guide to get to level 15 - it is the most important level - and started with the target closest to me in level, so you would want to start with level 4 or the closest to that.

Once you level up you can start going for higher levels as you have more life to compensate for their level.

Also, I would recommend grenades as your temporary weapon and always start the fight by setting one of those off.

They have little money as they are attacked so often, so select the "leave" option as this gives the most experience.

Hope this helps and good luck!

You dont drop levels you drop experience. I won't say what every coder has said about torn, but how experience works is that so much experience moves you to the next level, you get the experience through the attack script and in other areas, example if to reach level 2 was set at 500 experience and you had passed that amount you would get an upgrade in level after upgrading, your level never goes back/drops but your experience for the next level will go back and or drop back by a lose attack but its only a very small calculation where you would not know unless you lose every fight for over 200 loses.
