Widget making too many useless API calls?

After using the android widget, I'm noticing several API calls made by an IP address I don't recognize, assuming this is from the widget- as it stops the calls once widget is removed.

All fine n dandy, only what's with all the useless calls?

Do you use sprint? If so, the ip address is your own (ask google, or any other search engine "what is my ip address")

I'll pass this over to Vadim, the calls are definitely coming from the Widget, which would be intentional, but it seems like it uses a lot. Especially when you can combine selections. e.g. 'selections=bars,notifications'


I've edited the screenshot for privacy reasons and edited the title for clarity.
