You are partially right....... Yes ....technically happy jumps dont ever stop working.... BUT, as you get older and you become stronger... your happiness level has less of an effect on your gym gains. Its said that hapy jumps start to …

Happy Jumps don't really stop working. In fact they actually work better as you get older since you'll have access to better gyms which will give you better stat gains, and you'll probably have more money which helps you do happy jumps more often as well as let you stay in higher happiness properties which gives you a better base to start happy jumps from.
Oh, and since you can travel you have access to rehab, so the drug addiction effects are far more manageable.

Once you reach that point, you will gain more by just regular training with xanax and refills.
When you happy jump, you need to stack to 1000e.. the downside, is all of the lost E due to natural regen during the drug cd.......
3x xanax a day+ natural regen+refill each day, would actually gain you more than stacking to 1000 e for a happy jump once you reach the 400k(800k) threshold,
