It would seem every time I launch the app it always seems too start on the notifications settings page, is their a way to change it too starting on the Home screen?

I have the same issue on s9+, haven't found a setting to disable it myself unfortunately. Fingers crossed we have missed something as it is slightly irritating.
Something to do with the stored data. Try clearing the app data and logging back in.
This currently a reported bug. I think they are working on it.
Bug is reported, confirmed. The android app suck because it only allow to open 1 tab, the only useful of it is notifications.
