New players guide to getting married

Most new players tend to post in "Trade" when trying to find a spouse.

These are alternative options to getting married on torn instead of Flooding the Trade chat.

METHOD 1

STEP 1:
Go to newspaper, click on "Personals". From there you will see a box of four options:

• "Man seeking a woman"
• "Woman seeking a man
• "Man seeking a Man"
• "Woman seeking a woman"

STEP 2:
Select the option of your choice and browse through the ads listed. (NOTE: you can also place an ad on here)
ads last for 7 days, in this time even if you or the person is married the ad will still be up. More than likely a single person (unmarried) will be within the first set of people (especially if they live in a PI). So choose from the first set of people, check if they're married and if not message them.

STEP 3:
If no one on the list is online and it is taking forever, what you do is make yourself some friends. How is this done? Trade chat of course!

METHOD 2:
If you have seen Hank's "Power Levelling Guide" you should have 15 days donator status and about 20m from goodie bag. if you have not read Hank's guide >>>> Hank's Power Levelling Guide<<<<

From the money made from following Hank's guide you should have traded with people who have been in Torn for a while people who are high leveled and should have many friends. After all these people should be making new friends everyday doing trading right?

STEP 1:
Make friends with all whom you trade so that you can ask them if there is someone who they may know who needs setting up.

STEP 2:
Speak to person find out if they're who you were looking for. If this is the case you have a spouse and a witness. If not keep looking and asking around until you find your match!

In these instances you are guaranteed to find a spouse without flooding the Trade chat with things like "Looking for a wife", "looking to get married" ect.

SIDE NOTE:

This part is for those who intend on getting married but have no idea how to go about getting married.

STEP 1:
Buy a ring

STEP 2:
Go to items click ring and the option to propose will appear. Click propose and type name of person and send.

STEP 3:
have person accept and go to Church. Request your friends to witness.

STEP 4:
after friend agrees on request write vows, say yes, kiss and enjoy being a married person on Torn!

I remember in my experience I made one personal advertisement and got tons of mails (Maybe a different experience for a guy). And if I'm ever single again will probably never go that route. I think the best way is to just get to know some people and hope you stumble upon someone that's good to talk to and is helpful for a better experience. Lot's of people in the same faction marry each other and sometimes it turns out well. Also marrying someone of the same sex isn't weird here so don't be scared, what matters is that you can get along with them. My current marriage came out of the blue, wasn't even looking but luckily I said yes, He's awesome. [:love_chemistry:]

I just found this forum ...silly me put a parcel together with chocolates roses and the diamond ring and i wanted to wrap it but i think the wrapping ended up inside the parcel not around the outside of the parcel....AND I did not include a message........ I guess Ill just wait abd see if I hear anything back from the person whom I sent it to; if not chalk it up and keep moving on.

step 1 have a person you love in rl make a account
step 2 marry them
step 3 know they wont really play the game at all but you get to be smooshy about the fact you have em married in a game
step 4 bring it up at every chance you can they are your hubby and annoy everyone around you to the point they want to kill you.... or maybe just run you over with a full moving truck

step 5 realize you have a dead body avy as a person you now need to care for forever then remmeber its your hunnie so you are willing to do that even if it annoys you that they arnt playing a game you like wif u
