Beyond the merit there is a benefit, but only if you have unquestioning faith. By posting a question about it, you are disqualified.

There is a merit for doing it twice every day for about 2 weeks (with at least 8 hours in between prays, at least that's pretty much the consensus).
There have been theories that there is a hidden "luck" stat that is influenced by praying and donating to church, that would apparently influence awareness among other things.
I personally don't believe in that theory, but there aren't any hard facts supporting either side.
Rosary beads seem to be a troll enhancer item, but if the theory is correct after all, it might have an effect.
