I would understand that logic, except, they do own OAB.

It's listed in their faction territories, it's on their faction page as defending, they gain respect and benefit of potential racket from it, I'm not sure how much more a clearer definition of ownership can be. Plus there's simply nothing in the rules regarding splits or assault that allows this bug to happen. Do you think it needs fixing?

I totally understand that, but here's how I see it:

- As it currently goes, you can essentially "flee" while you're defending the last remaining territory in a split section, which makes sense. In JFKs case during Insurgency vs TUN - JFK were also locked into an assault against FTW. In this case, you could not "flee" as the attacker, which also makes sense.

- If you remove the rule that essentially says, "for the purposes of territory movement, if your territory is being assaulted you do not own it", this would remove the ability to split a long thin faction (at least until the assault is successful), which is the sort of thing I believe Ched intentioned.

- If you remove the rule that essentially says, "for the purposes of territory income, if your territory is being assaulted you do still own it", this would mean anyone could randomly fake assault you any time to prevent any of your territory income, which would be kind of silly.

It would be good, and preferable, if it was possible to instead implement the following logic

- The above rules are held intact, with one superseding clause;

- If two unconnected territories are owned (classified by the purpose of income), and one of them is being assaulted, no movement is permitted from the other unless it reconnects your two split sections (thx Z_junior).

This would prevent the ability to "flee" a defensive position that you are split away from, as Caledonia managed to.

Added the missing part which is taken from the rules, and thats why we need this part fixed.

I'll try one last time, since it was added to the Patch List

- Fixed issue allowing a faction to claim new territories after their existing territory was split while being assaulted

what exactly was the fix? Knowing specific territory logic is extremely helpful and will prevent future bug reports being made. Additionally it is not a mechanic that has any reason to be kept hidden. Please elaborate even slightly?

Without knowing what exactly the updated logic is, no one will even know if it becomes bugged.
