All the chats are messed up at the moment. Try closely the chat box entirely and re-open it, sometimes that helps. So go disable your company chat, then re-enable and often for me, everything will come back

This bug is even worse today, all are out of synch - i am missing important details as older messages show as latest.
All of yesterdays private chats have disappeared
Public Chats are also not updating

Same is happening to me more or less after xmas town opening... sometimes the messages show up again others just keeps coming gradually if is a long conversation... i noticed this can happen in all chat boxes, not necessarily at the same time
Diddo, getting the green highlight for receiving a new message, open it, no new message and some old ones are usually gone, happening in personal and company, not sure about faction.

YES -- it is still a problem. Chat has been on and off messed up for weeks now and it blows my mind that the Ched, Bogie and you all don't care. This is a vital part of communication in the game and it's been assigned to an Admin that is 10 days offline.
It is a slap in the face to every Torn player that this continues to be on a back burner. This has nothing to do with clearing cache this has to do with bad coding that has not been addressed.
This needs to be handed to an Admin-Dev who is active and has the skills to fix it. Ched built this game. Can he not fix this and show some respect to the players of Torn who rely upon chat - faction, 1:1 etc to enjoy the game and to actually PLAY it. I realize some folks never chat anyone. Some factions never chat each other, but this is a social game and the active players and factions require reliable and working chat. This is a very, very basic need in any game unless you're playing Solitaire.

It's late Sunday evening in the UK, but I hope come tomorrow, the 6th, of January that Ched will make this a priority and handle this himself or have someone else who is competent and active do so.
weeks of chat boxes being a mess, decide to come see if a bug has already been made and yup of course it has. chats disappearing, appearing in random orders, chat boxes appearing green as though a new message has been said when nothing has happened.
ok, had to bump this so ched or stewie can see it. it had dropped off the first page!

The chat developer will be back on the 10th Jan to take a look at this. Although it's caused by a rebuild which fixed other critical issues (like crashing chat, and us having to wake up at 4am to restart it), it may take time to resolve. As far as I'm aware, this is only affecting chat history so it's not super critical that we need to bring a developer out of vacation - but will obviously be fixed asap when he's back.

Thank you for responding. This is affecting more than chat history though, so you know. Many times you write and hit return and it will not register. You refresh. You log out completely and back in trying to get it to work - sometimes it does, sometimes you just wait 10 minutes or an hour and back to “normal”. Chat alerts are messed up, but that is, I suppose, in part tied to chat history?
Please, yes, make this Dima’s (believe that’s the Dev’s name) only priority upon his return.
For the future, if CT town chat breaks things, then eliminate it and suggest that folks use global instead. That might bring in a wider set of players into global and change things up a bit. It could be a positive thing. Just an idea.

I also am having this problem in my faction chat; i hope this info helps to solve the issue.
The problem is occuring on my faction chat in the Android App. If I switch over to my browser (google chrome on my Galexy S10) the chat seems to be fine amd in the correct order. Ill continue to compare as it happens. But so far has been isolated to the android app for me.

For at least a month I have been having issue with all chats. I keep getting these errors

It happens every day, at least half of the time I am logged on, and it happens to all of my chats when it does.
I use the android app.
