Kingdom Now theology

Kingdom Now theology is a branch of Dominion Theology which has had a following within Pentecostalism. It attracted attention in the late 1980s.[24][25]

Kingdom Now theology states that although Satan has been in control of the world since the Fall, God is looking for people who will help him take back dominion. Hardly. That is not a mainstream concept in Christianity. Even your citation of it admits that it started in the 1980's. That is a trend, not a school of religious thought.

It does exist, but has even less of a following than the Mormons, who also borrowed Islamic concepts, specifically allowing their men to marry multiple wives.

Dominionism in reformed Christianity has had a significant following since around since 1960 and has swelled since then. Dominion theology isn't new as it was prominent in Europe back in the 16th to 18th century.

It fell out of favour during the reformation, and re-surged after the second world war.

As for number of adherents, there's a surprising number of people who subscribe to this and many are the type who go unregistered in America and avoid any interaction with the government so actual numbers are difficult to estimate accurately.

Thankfully, like you said, that number is still rather small and not mainstream. If it was it'd be fundamentalist American terrorists we'd have to be concerned about too.
