im new to torn any chance anyone can hook me up with anything? anything at all advice, gear, weapons, items anything to help me get started

So with the $750 you have, buy 100 bricks from bits 'n' bobs, trade it with someone for $50,000 in total, then buy leather gloves, leather vest, leather helmet, leather pants, leather shoes, leather whip
Spend some of your money on candies and eat it then train in the gym - that'll also be of good use since you already have a palace from MightyGoober which will help your happiness and having this at day 1 is superb
Pray in the church once per day, and donate $1 in there for next 14 - 21 days
Put like $10k or something in the bank if you want a merit (Torn Bank),
'njoy Torn City new.

You should go another route: find someone with a PI, marry them, ask for drugs to help you train, get free equipment in some faction and train, train, train your stats.

The way I heard it, you gave what he got from you.
To OP, work through the public job sector until you are able to join education. Stick with that job until you are a principal. You get a time discount on how long it takes to finish classes. Always be taking a class. Your faction will love it if you take the classes that let you draw blood do you can donate blood to the faction. Find a faction you vibe with and stay loyal to them if they are loyal to you.
