All this hysteria from the media and several in this post and yet only 2 people outside China have died and it has a 98% survival rate. First the Y2k bug, then SARS, then ebola and now this. The media whips a storm and people panic. Reality is if you are not very young, not very old and have a normal functioning immune system you dont have much to worry about especially if you dont live in East Asian countries.

Idk if you’re trolling or not but clearly that was not the meaning behind my post. I was just stating that this situation is way overblown by the media and is inducing panic which is the last thing needed in this situation.
The reason why I mentioned East Asia in the first place is well... China ( Hubei province specifically) is in East Asia perhaps? Also due to the time of the year (Chinese New Year) there’s a lot more travel between those countries also.
I hope you are well aware of how the Chinese authorities acted in the beginning. The denial of that the problem existed , followed by the imprisonment of the medics trying to raise the alarm, not sharing enough intel with other agencies world wide etc which definitely contributed to the large number of cases we are seeing at the moment.
