Few drinks and few words with friend come to the conclusion.....TERRITORIES IS SHIT NO MATTER WHAT CHED DOES WITH THEM!!!!!

There is no war. There is no fun. We all just farm and twiddle our thumbs and pretend somethkng big will happen some magic war will happen that not just boring uneventful shit.

Drunking gal signing off.

I kind of agree.

Rackets spiced it up a bit but ultimately I find Territories confusing and uninspiring.

The wall slut farming phenomena is shit also. Was it designed this way?

I called this on the release of them.

Torn would be in a much better place if they'd replaced competitive warring instead of all this territory nonsense. I mean, Raiding....c'mon.

If the devs can crunch for christmas town 4.0, can we not have done the same for ranked warring.....it's not a new concept, we had it Five years ago.

I feel like, they could just increase rewards of warring and increase some cooldowns, like, how many territories you can try to conquer over some period of time.

For example, in 1.month you can try to conquer 1-2 territorys, if you succeed, you gain something and oponnent faction lose something, and wise verse .

territory wars are cripplingly expensive and for what gains? f**k all. A territory with 5 respect better than the one you sat on before.....great.

I miss the days of claiming victory bonuses, warring was so much better then.

Is competitive warring similar to crimes in that they have a plan and it's just taking forever? Or is nothing happening on the competitive warring front as far as we know?

Did CR battle for even a single racket yet? It is bound to feel boring if you don't act. No offense to CR, but at the end of the day, torn is what you make out of it.

NS has fought for a few rackets since they were introduced, and that was legit an amazing break from the regular farming chains. We won some, we lost some but every one of us got to test our battle stats against real opponents and not just naked wall targets.

Territory warring are not supposed to be something that replaces the old school 1v1 wars. It is a new mechanic which I am positive will improve over the years. If you think territory warfare are shit and can come up with an excellent alternative to that, feel free to draft a Suggestion thread and Ched will look at it.

Because there's no real incentive to war for rackets. Territory warfare is largely boring beyond a certain amount of time, and pretty resource heavy for *proper* battles. There are extremely few rackets that have spawned that would be worth what would potentially be spent trying to claim them.

Additionally we don't own nor have any intention of owning proxy factions to hold or extort racket proceeds, that just isn't us.

If we had a truly fun, engaging warring system I'm sure we would easily be persuaded out of our cosy respect spot before we intend to leave...but territories and shitty $25m/day rackets aren't gonna do it.

Shit happens with territories if you make it happen. But I do agree that mostly the cost isn't worth the reward and the warring system has huge annoying "features." At least it's more fun than training and farming all day. At the end of the day, the goal of a game like this is to have a bit of fun with it.
A_Mean_Person [1631303]
Not that increasing the rackets payout would solve anything... It would, just extend the profit of those few extorting everyone else, and that's about it. (At the very best you would have another 1 or 2 factions getting into the extortion business)

But as for promoting war... Not really.
