For faction and company banners, 150kb is just...laughable! Can anyone help me understand just why these are so miniscule? Attempting to make a good looking gif within these confines is a nightmare.
Why are Banner Images so SMALL

I wasn’t sure if you had seen my thread I linked you about the file size, so I’m glad you figured it out either way :P
I thought it was that tiny, but man...f**k.

And then altered to fit the super shitty small requirements:

It's the visual version of someone having taken a greasy shit on a VHS cassette, then giving it to you to play.
I just don't understand WHY it has to be that small.

cause big things come in small packages
Yeah... that’s ugly :(
The package size for banners are so small, it's be statutory m8
I know!!!!
I am guessing that the filesizes for banners were put in when companies / factions were first made, and haven't been altered since?

Or it was put in place in a time where internet speeds were a lot slower, and forum pages would take ages to load?
Just a wild guess, but I'm pretty sure it would have had something to do with hardware/networking limitations of the time.

That's my guess as well.
I don’t see nothing wrong with a little bump and grind
Feels like an older requirement that was never adjusted as internet speeds changed.
