Definitely cannot make a tradable item that provides non-timegated energy (no cooldown). That would be game-breaking, especially when combined with the Ugly Energy book or non-timegated pay-to-win items like Strippograms and Poison Mistletoes.

I honestly don't think it would really upset the balance of faction wars if both sides have the ability to do it. What's next, restricting +250 Email energy's to strictly be used on gyms? Also, you're not gonna stop people from hoarding it for a chain. all you're doing is preventing people from paying points to refill their energy until they want to use the free refills. Your reasoning is fairly moot.

I would say there is a definite difference between "replacement energy" aka free refills and news letter energy.

As he said these refills are to replace to energy you would have normally used/gained in the time torn was down. If torn hadn't gone down then wouldn't have been able to store this E for much later use.

News letter E us given out regularly and is a bonus to what we normally get. It has a finite limit that you can claim it so has its own restrictions before it expires.

If people choose to hold onto it and not refill til they chain it's up to them. I dont really see it being bad if people choose to not refill daily.

Instead of totally scrapping the idea of saving Special Refills to prevent players with unfinity E for wars, why can't you set a time limit to using them? Similar to seasonal Newsies.

We have 3 months to use them- and the thing which triggered me to make this suggestion was that we are allowed to bypass E refills, but NOT nerve??

Whats the logic behind that one.
