There should be a way to reset a single merit tree. Sometimes you dump points in a tree, and it turns out not to be useful to your style of game play, and those points are just wasted. The cost would have to be significant enough so people didn't just do it every day, like 100 points for just one branch instead of 500 points for a full reset.
