Did you receive the pop-up saying you found an egg? It may have been a fake egg placed by other players on profile signature and such. Please also check your inventory if the white egg is credited. If it is not, that most likely means you clicked one of fake eggs.

Since you overpriced your points, they probably wouldn't have been sold. You will have this icon indicating that you have points up for sale, you can click it to visit the Points Market, and take down the listing using the marked cross in below screenshot:
