This has been suggested a couple other times that I've seen. It normally ends with Ched saying that even though inactive accounts are probably going to stay that way, they can't remove the stuff those players gained fairly. If inactives ever decided to rejoin the game, you would have taken possibly years worth of playing away for no reason other than you wanted their stuff.

There is zero chance of this ever happening - accounts belong to A) Chedburn Networks and B) the player who created the account, irrespective of whether they are fedded or inactive, and there is no facility to on-sell them to other players.
Ched would literally be breaking his own acceptable use / terms of service policies by implementing this.

I agree with Butters on this one. There is no real reason why Ched would make inactive/fedded account items available to whoever want to throw money at it.
