I was minding my own business advertising in trade chat when I was suddenly confronted by WhatTheFoxSay https://www.torn.com/profiles.php?XID=1530413. He raised a peculiar argument which I tried my utmost to understand but common sense and logic was out of the question. Attached is the full transcript but if you guys aren't particularly fond of reading, here is a brief TLDR:
  • I advertised in trade chat (once per page)
  • WhatTheFoxSay accused me of spamming trade chat by advertising 6 post per page
  • WhatTheFoxSay explains that a chat box page is "the entire page as far as you can scroll not just what you can see in the box"
  • I explain with support from a staff helper, BennyH that you can post once per page on the trade chatbox at 100% height.
  • He calls me a moron and bounties me.



I never would've expected a lvl 99 to fail to grasp the basics of Torn.

WhatTheFoxSay is one of the greatest weapon experts and traders in this game, he has seen a lot of spamming in that chat and he knows when the border is crossed, trust me. Personally I kind of appreciate people like him spending energy and time trying to keep some order in the trade chat.


The only thing this post will accomplish is to give the rest of the spammers a second thought before spamming, so for that possibility I thank you, but it aint going to help you personally..

Do you use a different internet to me? All this is going to do is let trolls know it's gonna piss him off when they follow the game rule of one per page, but not his made up rule of one per scrollable page.

This will definitely result in more "spam", in fact I'm tempted to do it myself to see I can get a message.

just anotha bullcrap being thrown around.. if u expect all players to follow ur 1ads per scrollable page might as well go and f*ck urself up and bounty every single person that post on the trade chat

Tradechat= spam until they put software block into it. Staff can't check that 100%. Every day trade is overrun a couple times by a multi spamming weird shit. Ignore it

Best thing to do is IGNORE.
