So this happened last night...
  • goobs mugged you and stole $70,558,957 [view] 02:57:45 16/05/20
  • goobs bought 1 x Bunch of Balloons '05 from your bazaar for $455,000,000. 02:56:34 16/05/20
  • goobs bought 1 x Santa's Elf '09 from your bazaar for $455,000,000. 02:56:03 16/05/20
  • goobs bought 1 x Jack-O-Lantern '05 from your bazaar for $455,000,000
Which is fine I brought the items at 250m before the merit came out so still got mine...
The fun part was if he had bothered to chat me he might have got a better deal...

Xxxxxxx: Hey are the collectibles in your bazaar negotiable? I could take all 4 at once
Tarelli: What you thinking?
Xxxxxxx: Just bought a staff collectible, but I would offer 300 per? I can currently take 3
Tarelli: Won't go below 350m
Xxxxxxx: Alright, thanks anyways!
Tarelli: Np

Now what was it bogie said...

Basicly guys just don't be dicks...

Yes indeed Tarelli!

A lot of people put stuff on their bazaar in the hopes it will sell at that price but they are not expecting it to sell. Its more of a opening gambit looking for good offers.

In a situation like yours, the buy mugger would indeed make more profits if they negotiate with you man to man and made a generous trade offer.

Screw them its their loss and your gain, you just earned more than you expected to earn when you sold your stuff!

Their 'discount' might sting. But you are the still the winner. You made more profit than you expected to!

So, what you're saying is, people buy shit, the people they bought the shit from then have shit-loads of money, so they mug them, so then the mugee posts on forums that he is #WINNING because he would have sold it to them for less, even after the mugger got his "discount"
dunmugmeh [538353]
You are the winner here. His mug was a substantial one, but he would have earned more if he thought about it ie make a good fair offer on them.

A lot of people get upset about mugs, sometimes with good reason. But if you are earning more when you sell than you expected to then you have come out on top!

You really are the winner. There is a reason why most top traders dont buy collectibles. They are hard as hell to sell on for more.

You won and he lost

Smart. I often gets asked what I would give for [insert random collectible / rare item]. I tell them I have no clue that thing can go for 500m or 5b, there is no real market for them, only random people with sudden cash.

Then I tell them to just place it in their bazaar for the price they want +15%, so they can just get buy-mugged and sitll get the full amount.

I don't know why this is so hard for people to figure out. How about we start a bounty campaign for anyone who responds to trolls in the forums? Doesn't have to be a big bounty, just a "Responded to X in the forums" for a reason. Spread the message. Reinforce good forum etiquette.
dunmugmeh [538353]
Forum etiquette would be nice. But i dont think it will ever happen.

A lot of rabid field mice get their fun from spamming up the forums, because they cant do anything else in the game .. because they are so bad at playing game they cant do anything else in the game. ...

The thing is, a rabid field mouse spamming away is still playing the game. Sort of...

Forum banning, mail banning and chat banning is a thing.

Those field mice who have their 'voices removed' can either power on and play the game or start squeaking again when they are allowed to.

In a game like this it is the more players the merrier, even if a lot of the players are rabid.

As always Be Brave!
