Just a thought. How about allowing us to Raid extremely inactive players. Say 1000+ days inactive. This will allow for another aspect of the game, and a chance to get rare items back into the game.

Make it take 12-24 hours, use a ton of energy, with a chance of failure. To make it fair they cant be more than one rank lower than you (if not the level 90-100s will just clear out all the inactive within a week or two). In the end you get a random chance to get items from their inventory/display case/cash/stocks...whatever they may have. Could be trash items...could be that rare weapon that no one sells anymore. Just depends on if you are successful and your luck.

Open to ideas to improve this.

I have to say I disagree with this one, in a game that never ends, 3 years really isn't that long, maybe you quit for college and come back after, and literally all of your stuff has been raided.

Cash on hand yeah, mug the crap out of them, but I don't think there should be a way to steal peoples inventory.

i cainda agree with u but i think there should also be a way to get those items back into circulaton because after a person has not been online for 3,4,5 hell somethime 14-15 years, there is a very low chance that they will come back. It would be fun to be able to loot them. Maybe it would work out if ched added like a garentee to them. If they got items looted, and they come back and play some time later, they can get some money or stuff? idk

He would literally never do that, it’s duplicating items already in the economy.

sorry bud but I guarantee this will never happen

A job perk to steal 1 item at random from a player. Would be pretty much useless, cos if the item is random it's pretty much the same as the dump: gonna get trash 99.9% of the time. That 0.01% though...

I like the idea but it's not reasonable or managable.

What would end up happening is the strongest players farming everything and putting them in display cases.

it is doable becouse if like said in the suggestion you cant do anything for 12-24 hours no big guy gets keep raiding to find that gem be ouse they would waste so much time energy and nerve that it wouldnt be worth it and if only max 1 rank below it wont happen as well becouse one can raid from a noob if he is a noob as well but he cant get raided becouse he isnt inactive

Torn has always been a game where people can comeback to however long they've gone. I'm glad all my stuffs were still here when I decided to go back to this game, if my inventory was raided and emptied, I would quit for good.

Huge no on this one R-

As a player who did come back after a 4 or 5 year stint of inactivity I'm a bit biased, but I think this is a pretty mean suggestion for all the reasons already listed. Personal feelings aside there are some objective reasons for not doing this.

This is real bad for business. Older players that come back are usually in better spots financially than their younger selves. This means they're probably more likely to subscribe. If they come back and see Ched allowed everyone to steal all their items, they're not gonna subscribe - they're gonna quit.

This is basically a step away from deleting the account for anyone who takes a hiatus from the game.

Agreed with all the above, also spent a lot of time inactive and it certainly wouldn’t be fair.

However, apart from RMT funds what about fedded accounts? Obviously illegal funds can’t be looted, but there are a lot of accounts in fed that could be targets for this?
