Chat keeps being shit

I've reported on chat problems before, and it's still shit. Messages not getting delivered with no error message, old chats popping up suddenly after 2-4 months, waking up and having people ask why I didn't respond to chats because they wrote to me but for some reason I can't see their messages.

For over a year now all we ever hear about chat problems is "log out, clear your cache and log back in" like this is some kind of acceptable solution. A year, with nothing improved, and still several bug reports every week pertaining to chat, and always the same response from staff.

Maybe it's time to get someone who actually knows what they're doing to work on the chat system? It's not a fusion reactor, it's a chat system. Pretty sure a properly trained monkey can work that out in a year.

I am getting chat issues as well. Sometimes I cannot load a chat.

Can't initialise chat - open chatboxes can be typed in but can't send message.

Chats have always had their moments but generally they weren't too bad. But lately they've been pretty terrible.

The current most annoying issue is very frequently lately (mostly on phone, but also on pc) you will reply to something, and the message won't appear - no error or anything, sometimes you don't even notice till later that it's not there. So you have to type it a second time. Sometimes it will appear that time, sometimes you need to refresh whatever page you are on and then type the message again (annoying on phone). But it doesn't stop there, the person replies a moment later, and you go to reply again straight away, and again no message appearing. Kind of got to a point where I was copying everything I wrote before attempting to send it so that I didn't have to write it out a second time -- hardly an effective solution.

You have to do the whole type again, refresh, type again thing all over. It's been happening for at least a week or two and is pretty frustrating

It's a duplicate of many reports in the last year or more, yet nothing is being done to resolve any of them.

But sure, close it, God forbid you'd be required to do any actual work.

Thanks but I've made reports with more details and even solutions before. They'll just close and link to another of the multiple reports that gets posted every week, without any fix being made. Or it gets ignored until it disappears.

Such an impressive list of requirements when they are asking for developers in this game, yet the only hard requirement seems to be to close reports and ignore issues for months on end. Must be a great gig.

You are clearly expecting too much.

This is the modus operandi when it comes to bugs regarding the chat system. Reports always go one of three ways, it's either "log out, clear your cache and log back in" OR they close it and refer to another report that is vaguely in the same area OR they just ignore it until it goes away.

It's amazing how a piece of cake functionality that's been perfected for literally decades everywhere else is somehow a problem that can't be solved. It blows the mind.

Happening way too frequently to be a cache issue. Several times daily my chat says unable to connect, and many in faction are having same issues for last few days. This isn't an old issue still having trouble, but a new one entirely. Please prioritize this fix.

Edit: I clear my cache daily and only rarely watch porn ;)

i have been lost my content in chat after typed and sent so many times. Where is the Fail-Safe for bad connection ?

Everytime I chat I have to copy the content before sending in case of lost.

Chats are highly unreliable. Somedays I simply can't post.
