    how about taking the rl part out of this and making it as a torn 'age' birthday, sure there's medals but something nice maybe a refill would be a nice thing right?

    Inb4 everyone's birthday is all on the day of that update... Personally though I'm not hugely keen on this, anything that requires us to collect additional personal information unnecessarily isn't a great idea I'd say - this wouldn't serve any …

    Btw what if someone's birthday is Feb 29? They get one every 4 years?

Personally though I'm not hugely keen on this, anything that requires us to collect additional personal information unnecessarily isn't a great idea I'd say - this wouldn't serve any real purpose and in most cases be fake anyway.

We have this in the security questions, but that information is encrypted, even to devs and myself, it doesn't need to be available.

Moved to suggestions.

If it were implemented, this is the only way it would make sense. I agree with Bogie that most dates provided would be fake and another data point they don't want to be responsible for. Giving a little gift like a free refill would be cool and could be based off your Torn B-day. This would also play well off the recent change to refills so people couldn't be stockpiling them. It should also only be granted if the user logs in.
