How do I find things in the city? I always look but never see anything.. thank you in advance for your advice!!

Just make sure you are logging on everyday, and check the city map at least once. It doesn't always give items, sometimes for weeks at a time.
If you think there are items there and you are just having trouble seeing them, then the DoctorN extension will help.
Also just so you know this kind of question generally goes in Q/A not Tutorials and Guides. ;)

You simply need to look around the city map. Things can be hard to spot but tools like Doctorn can help.

The Doctorn plugin is definitely the easiest way, but if you’re not going to use that then just zoom in ok the map, work your way from the top left corner down the map vertically slowly, looking for a black and white bible.
I keep sweeping up and down the maps vertically in a sort of stripe pattern to try to find items.
They won’t be there every day though. I’ve gone about 10 days without one so far this time I think.
