I reported all the company special sales threads last week and was informed that they have been deemed appropriate for the forum

They are open to ideas about how we could improve this forum.

There are people with the occasional question about a company mechanic here and there. Beyond that, I don't see anyone else using the subforum for anything, so what's the issue? If they got moved to trade, traders would complain that they need to go to company discussion..

Would you say it's company recruitment? It is definitely company related. What else will you use company discussion for?

The subforums we have are set. You can't just make one. You could make a thread for it if you'd like. I asked around and it seems like that's been tried before.

If company buying/selling belongs here then all other trading threads belong in GD

could just rename company recruitment forum to "Company Recruitment & Trade"

Then all selling (companies or specials) can go in there, since the way the posts work is essentially the same as the recruitment threads

to me it seems to be the most simple idea. it would make the current "recruitment" forums a bit of a mess, but they already are.

at least the discussion forums can be exactly that.
