I was wondering how useful everyone is finding productivity boosts.

Looking at popularity I generally sit at 20% at a 5* TV, I went up to 21% for the first three days of the boost then back down to 20% for the remainder. As soon as the boost ended I dropped down to 18% which is basically unheard of for my company. My popularity hasn't been this low for in the last 6 months, and nothing with my employees or pricing/ads should be decreasing it.

My company income was mostly unaffected by the productivity boost. The week before the boost 245m, the week of the boost 249m, and the week after the boost 254m. Interestingly the 254m week I had 2 inactive employees for a couple of days.

In conclusion, there was basically no change in income, and a significant decrease in popularity after the boost. Has anyone seen any positive benefits?

My TV co dropped to 0*s from 9* due to my own inactivity (final university exam semester, etc), I decided to enlist a few productivity boosts to aid the rank-climb.

The effect was most noticeable during the very early stages 0* through 4*, increasing the company's daily revenue by circa $4m.
Beyond 4-5* the revenue impact was no longer observable.
I did, however, observe an increase in the company efficiency rate, increasing from ~97% -> 100% (which had been slightly reduced due to temporary inactivity of an employee). This, is perhaps the most beneficial impact- preventing short-term efficiency shocks.

Now that my station has returned to its steady-state, I would be willing to contract a few more productivity boosts to measure any further impacts beyond 7*s.

Very much interested to review the experiences of other directors.

I should have also included: I ran productivity boosts for ~7 consecutive weeks, during which time I received a rank-up every Sunday.
However, this is more likely to have been owed to the company's [unobservable] experience factor.

All-in-all, I consider my experiences to have been break-even.
