It's very easy to cheat in chess nowadays since computer engines are far better and faster in calculations than even best of human GMs.
All chess web sites are struggling to fight cheaters.

I imagine Torn staff wouldn't want to deal with endless complaints on cheating, especially if money is involved.

For this suggestion, only solution I can see if putting a 1 minute or a 30 second or a 10 second chess960 game since backrow always changes

That is the best bet if trying to be fair on here. Or Quantum Chess, if y'all can try that. Preferably a sped up 960 game is best for Torn.




I'm down for any game on lichess

Btw y'all should play sock, he's really good.

I will play a few games on lichess every now and again, or show some lines to my friends at the bar and library, but i cant see Torn dedicating resources to a minigame that is so incredibly mature. The only way to avoid the engines is to have different pieces or rules (and even this is iffy these days), but then it's not chess anymore so appeal would drop unless it's very well done and that would be much more difficult than other games that could be added.

Plus let's be real, we'd all fuss at Ched for updates taking too long if he diverted even more attention from long awaited updates for this. Typically that isnt an argument i think is valid because torn has a good sized dev team, but think about how long poker and CT took. Not really hungry for another minigame atm.
