Hello torn,

I would like to request assistance with weapon testing. I have been working on testing shotguns to create data about which shotguns are considered worthy of being apart of torns META.

I suspect that shotguns and many other weapons are worthy of being used in the META as opposed to the standard Arma lite/dbk

I plan on testing ALL weapons and providing the data for torn to use. If you would like to help me please post here.

If you have a particular weapon or weapon combo you would like to see tested please post here. Currently I am looking at testing the following combos

Dbk/blowgun
Minigun/flamethrower
Temp item mastery and relying on damaging temp items
Pocket shotgun/primary shotgun
Other rifles and how they stack up to the arma
"best weapon" of each category

I currently have a shotgun setup in the form of shotgun merits maxed as well as a good Jackhammer and Pocket Shotgun which allows all mission rewards to default to one type of ammo

Shotguns suck. They're not practical because aside from having pretty crappy stats for the most part, you have to reload them waaay more often which is very costly in a fight. Not sure what data you're attempting to collect but I have spent a lot of time looking at weapons on this game.

Do you have data I can look at? I suspect that shotguns actually have a higher crit chance than regular weapons.

Years of using all kinds of weapons tells me that, also the fact the "hidden critical rate" is just a completely unsubstantiated rumour that no one has ever bothered to try and prove. The burden is proof is not on me

Chedburn said many years ago each weapon had its own hidden critical hit rate. But it was so long ago it could easily no longer be the case.

I know people who swear by the diamond blade and use it in every fight they are in. I am curious if it is indeed very effective.

The benelli tactical is a favorite weapon of mine,
to the point where at one point I had 10/10 shotgun merits.

Extended clip makes it have 8 shots,
and it's accuracy is as high as a macana.

I would like to see some data about the benelli tactical,
it's not like the other shotguns, reloading frequently and lower accuracy aren't
what this gun is about.
