Hi folks,

Clicking any link (Every 10 clicks/pages or so) opens 2 faction chat windows in the new tab. One being the correct chat, and one being completely blank. Typing in the blank window and pressing enter does make the window disappear, but it periodically comes back (with the previously typed message in the writing section) after 5-10 new links.

Can you please try clearing your cache from within the browser settings and see if it resolves the issue?

So, I'm coming back to this again. In this case, clearing the cache of my browser didn't work (and really shouldn't be a solution). As far as I can tell by the forums, this bug is well over a year old.

Instead of duplicated faction windows, it's a duplicated chat window, with my old username on the duplicated one (screenshot below).

I've ran into this bug frequently enough that I'm tiring of it. Telling me to clear the cache or saying close the chat windows is a cheat way out of not looking into what is causing this bug. Fixing it would be the better solution in the long run.

An Edit to this, if you will (Post Script):
Posting in the "duplicated" window does not update original on my screen.

It seems to me that it's more of an issue with the way the chat system was made, and urgently needs to be updated.
I asked around and I've had reports of it happening to multiple people within the last two weeks, sometimes more than once, and some having multiple duplicated windows at the same time.

P.P.S: Any coversations conducted in the duplicated window are lost when that window is closed. But the duplicated window is able to be re-opened, suggesting that it's an actual bug.

P.P.P.S: Apart from new and recent chats, any chat windows that I have minimised have my name instead of the recipient. Confirms my hypothesis that the entire system needs updating, and not just this bug being fixed.

I have this issue and frankly it drives me insane... only thing that clears it is sending a chat which clears it fir it to pop back up again moments later....

Kinda seems like the ghost chat (2nd faction chat) is craving attention because it seems the more you clear it the fast it comes back each time...

Any updates on this?
