Book library

Had a thought last night that could be beneficial to a lot of players.
Add a library into the city locations where the books you have read are stored with a 12/18 month cool down. You could rehire them for 200-500mil and use them again. I know a lot of people have used a book too early in the game and not reaped the benefits, and a few older ones would love to have the chance to get the gains from some books again. Just a thought, it made perfect sense last night to me after 6 pints.

This sounds kinda OP. Like I do like the idea however this will just make the super rich even stronger no matter how you look at it.
Its kinda cheap for what books are so you will need to increase the price to billions then its just limited.

Also ched wont do this. Books are one time use because of how powerful they are. Even doing it once ever 2 years is dumb strong. Especially with gym books.

I like it but sadly I don't think it will fit in correctly :(

what about rather then just a $ fee to re read a book, there is a 12+ month education you have to to to re-read it.

This is pretty OP and favours rich players heavily. It’s known that books can only be used once and if you could just pay for it again what’s the point?

4 100% stat books for wars/events (like elimination)
1 25% (Vicodin effect) all stats book

that 13 books if adding drug addiction removing one or no drug effect books it will be 15 and they are useful for big drug users + awareness book would make a super effect

maybe it will be good if you reduce the book effect to 10% if it was used before
for example, gym books would give not 30% but 3% and so on...

No, but that’s not limited to subscribers is it.

If you are a subscriber and you’d read all books, chances are a DP each month is very easy to get - so what are you subscribing for, a chance at another tumble dryer?

Yeah that's a fair point, I'm sure it could be tweaked to mitigate the ability to stack the books. Your idea of % reduction is a good one.

you can`t stack books now, the problem not stacking problem that effect is op (it meant to be a one-time thing) so reducing other times to 10% I think would be a good decision, because I would take a book that would give extra 3% stat gain for 50m and other 5 or 6 other ones, maybe not all books effect down to 10% but most of them

I think it will not be a problem if you make it at 10% effect it still would be useful and it works as a small money sink and Tron needs money sinks.

And I think Ched maybe would agree with 10% effect leaving it at original effect would be to OP and I really don`t think Ched would approve that huge boost

Mysteria’s idea sounds pretty good.
20-50m seems pretty low considering books were meant to be one time use items.

A 1 year wait along with a 250m fee requires some sacrifice so would probably be more appealing to ched.

Interesting idea.

A few issues I foresee:

1.) The Memories and Mammaries book would likely have to be modified to where it could not be used on a re-read book. The ability to bring back a book's effects for 62 days is arguably too powerful.

2.) Ched designed books specifically to where they would only be used one time and that it would be permanent. This is very clearly stated and this suggestion would effectively bypass that defined intent.

3.) Some of the books are really powerful and arguably shouldn't be available again after even a 12-18 month wait. Load image: laughing (A 250e energy bar, 2x Ecan effect, massively increased busting ability, huge awareness boost, crazy-high employee effectiveness, etc.)

4.) The personal stat "books read" would likely have to be adjusted to not record re-read books.

5.) Books arguably have not been around for a long enough time to start cycling them, and we're probably several years out from having players obtain and read all the books.

6.) This would effectively penalize the players who are holding books for the release of new announced features, with the understanding books are one-and-done. (Holding energy books for the release of 50k chains, or nerve books for Crimes 2.0 for example)
