you're near, but imo there's better solutions. you just need a shitload of algebra...

this question is familiar *searches through google classroom

edit: i did this before...dang, bad memories

"A farmer can grow Wheat, Corn or Beans" - the farmer can only grow 1 crop not a combination of crops to max his profits.
A farmer should grow only wheat and net $53,100. Corn gets $26,400 while are Beans $28,000.

I could show the work, but that is an extra $2M :)

It doesn't say anywhere that he can only grow one. It just gives the available options.

"How many acres of each must the farmer plant in order to maximise his profit and what is the max profit?"

To me that says which combination yields highest margin.

Don't worry it's not my homework. The following questions will be from different categories.

Question 02 will be a riddle which may require some anime or movie knowledge still deciding.

And Yes the farmer can plant one or a combination of produce whichever is most profitable as long as all constraints are met.

Hint: It is a linear optimization problem. Use a computer to solve it. I personally used Excel with SolverStudio add-on.

Only one person legit got it right, come on now.

the 160 acres for the cattle be like free now or smth idk lol

It's 120 wheat 80 corn 300 beans, but the profit is only $118,600.

He should've flown to UAE or South Africa to get them millions going smh

Edit: wait there's only 3 people that tried (myself not included) makes sense lmao

Also yeah, right, use computer. Wait why would people use a computer to solve this that doesn't sound right.

The corn kernel and the bean size are roughly the same, but the corn is usually heavier cause its taken off at a higher moisture level. The beans we harvest usually yield around the 35 bushel/acre mark, and corn if my memory serves me correctly yeilds around the 130 bushel/acre mark.

Flip the weights for corn and beans and it'll be a lot more realistic.
