I was wondering what the best way to level up as a new player would be? Is there an xp bar or something you can see somewhere also to know how close you are to leveling up? Thank you for responses :)

The best way is to just attack high level people for more experience but with bad stats so you can actually defeat them such as Baldrs’s Leveling list. Be sure to leave the targets for maximum experience gain.

A bunch of other events like crimes and I forget what else gives you small amounts experience but not as much as attacking and leaving.
Once you reach level 15, you can fly to China which you can then ask the fortune teller I think she’s called about you percentage of experience until you next level up.

To see how far until your next level, just go to the Hall of Fame, open the Level widget, and scroll up see how many pages until the level increases. Free (unlike the fortune teller) and available to all.

That doesn't really count in level holders though?

Unrelated to quote-- after level 15, leveling as fast as possible is usually not very important to most players, nor beneficial. You may end up over leveled for your stats and end up on a lot of chaining lists.
