I see I finally unlocked my first special gym. But I always hear from people to be careful using them. Because you can get locked out permanently. Is that true? How do you locked out? Does it have to do with addiction? Can I take xanax and use the special gyms?

The only gym that you can be permanently locked out from is SSL, and that is because you have taken more than 150 Xanax/ecstacy combined..

Edit: As for the other special gyms, they are dependent on your stats ratio.. If you can't access these gyms, you just have to adjust your stats ratio by training these stats accordingly.. Do check out Torn Wiki on the stats ratio of these gyms..

People probably just say that cause they feel like they're locked out of the others. If you get your str/speed up to 50m and leave your other stats at 200k, you'll feel pretty locked out from the other special gyms

Other than SSL (taking xan/xtc/both morethan 150) you won't be locked out permanently in special gym. Even if you lose ratio. You just need to get back on the required ratio. Torntools has the gym calculator for that afaik.
Soecial gyms are awesome. Worth every dime

If you happen to have Torntools... You can choose two special gyms from drop down menus provided.

It will show how much training you should do to keep that particular gym open.

It is quite easy to maintain the stats. But you may need to be on PC.

Does anyone know if you can have multiple special gyms unlocked at the same time? Like having the str+spd gym together with the elites gym (dex+25%)?

Also as a sidenote, I use kiwi browser on my phone and can confirm that the torntools extension and the gym calculator works on android.

You can have multiple special gyms unlocked, 2 gyms for 3 stats is possible. Following Baldr's stat ratio allows you to do this with the most balanced stats possible.

You can have access to the gym as long as it meets the ratio..

However do you mean by the following gym?

(Strength + Speed) - Frontline Fitness : Strength + Speed 25% higher than Dexterity + Defense

Elite : Dexterity 25% higher than your second highest stat

I can't see how it is possible to have both Strength and Speed being 25% more than Dex and Def, while at the same time Dex 25% higher than Strength or Speed..

Even if it's possible, it will be a bitch to continuously adjust the stats as so..
