I am torn apart to have to announce that I will be leaving Torn. Unfortunately, my life is not going all that well at the moment and that's solely due to laziness. I spend my days on facebook, gaming, and all that and it's not much of a life. I have to make a change, get in good physical shape, get a job, make friends, etc. As of right now, I'm just lazy, sleep all the time, game, eat junk food, and that's it. I want to be something. Not nothing.
Anyways, I just thought I'd announce my departure. Some won't know me. In fact, many won't but there will be the odd one that does. Before you say, "Can I has your stuff?" I am going to think of something that will allow me to distribute my poor-ish wealth fairly. I won't be returning. As much as it has been fun, there are reasons I should not return. Nothing to do with the game or any players. Just real life stuff.
Have a good, peaceful, enjoyable life everyone and may Torn live long and prosper.

You might feel you need to do this to beat gaming addiction or eradicate laziness, but look at it as your first of many decisions with an outcome of bettering yourself in the future. Minor accomplishment, but a first mental win.
And all the best, Shockwave, didn't really get a chance to know you, but the majority of us will still be here should you even enlighten our doorstep again!
We all hit a slump every now and then. Good luck.. And yes, invest that cash and go in to education. If you ever decide to come back, you don't have to start from scratch all over again.
Good luck dude. I’d recommend joining the education job before you leave, if you come back you can spend your job points on getting a ton of intel and get paid loads if you come back :D

I don't want your things, you brokey. I want you to play torn. You can legit make progress in the game by logging in once daily. Take the suggestions of others, log in occasionally but dont over-due it. Sort your irl shit out then coming back to torn full time is your reward.
I agree with this guy. I know it may seem like the easiest thing to do, but the most drastic is rarely the most effective.
Moderation is the key, and an invaluable tool for life. It’s important for you to still have a hobby, an outlet, or something you enjoy. Giving up everything in pursuit of something else is a good way to demotivate yourself.
Army > Education if you considering coming back at a later date. Battlestats over working stats for sure! I hope things start to look up for you. Good luck with future endeavours.
Was playing a game where you had to play every hour of the day, otherwise you would lose out alot in-game. It was extremely addictive. It played parts on my professional career. That was the reason for me to quit.
