· 42 likes · Sadly, the US has decided Torn is a rogue nation. Therefore, many of the things other countries take for granted are boycotted here. It's not the US only, the Chinese hatecus so much, they won't even sell us Huawei products.

Yeah, when this game was first created 15 years ago cellphones weren't really ubiquitous and smartphones as we know them now didn't exist until Apple brought out the first iPhone two years after Torn was created.
But why does the game still not have cellphones? When I make a trade in the stock market, I shouldn't have to go walk there then carry cash somewhere else. Same goes for the bank.
What is this, the 1920's? We have freaking marijuana dispensers on the street and nobody can figure out how to transfer money electronically?
We can have business phones if we attach them to the exterior wall, just outside the window. Loopholes. You've got to look for the loopholes. Obviously it's going to mess up the shingle job your brother-in-law has painstakingly created, but you made his missus all those preserves so f**k him if he whinges.
