You get 1 point per star per day. You can check tornstats to see your total points across all job types

No, he's reffering to stars. You're in a 9*, so it's 9 JP/ day.
As we are not aware how many stars it was previously during your time away, if it has gone up or down.. But to check your JP, check https://www.tornstats.com/positions.php

You can just check on your home tab or on your company tab, and it will say how much job points you have :D
