That's more than 50% of my lifetime mug total in one mug.
Bittersweet, considering I was mugged twice for over $875MM returning from Caymans within a one week timeframe in December. I am sure you'd think "what an idiot", but there were two noteworthy factors involved:
1. The mugs happened within 1-2 seconds of me landing, even though I had faction mates on the ready to attack me the moment I landed to prevent such a thing
2. When I did further flights and returns to Caymans carrying nothing, there was no mug attempt
This resulted in the following hypotheses:
1. Somebody is/was flat-out stalking my every move, either through TornTools, DoctorN or something as basic as sitting on my profile page or some other notification process, and
2. They did a money spy every time I was in the air, or
3. Somebody has some sort of voodoo script wizardry that collates everybody returning from Caymans with cash on hand for easy striking capability, including the split-second reaction time necessary for timing landings in Torn.
I am a technological heathen (currently researching JSON imports and API calls, and I am in WAY WAY over my head)...so I am not even sure that #3 and its level of automation is possible, but word around town is that there are 1 or 2 different players who have bloodhound-esque supernatural ability for sniffing out mug opportunities and taking advantage like that on a very consistent basis.
Aside from being pussies and stealthing their mug, fair play to them (and kudos if they ever reveal themselves to me and how they did it). I am definitely not mad, but frankly astounded and curious.
That's more than 50% of my lifetime mug total in one mug.
