Not for ios users.
I like the app mostly for the push notifications and the widget on my phone. The widget will display health, energy, nerve, happiness and current chain, which continues to be useful for quick referencing.
As for the app to play, I prefer just using a web browser app, as it seems a bit more user friendly (to me).
That said, I see why some may choose to not use the app entirely, but for what I use it for, its pretty handy.

Have not had a chance to look up the Android APP, since I am iOS user, but would say it's just a glorified lazy browser experience, nothing else.
If you're an iOS user, you're shit out of luck too, as Ched's decided to abandon development completely................and his oblivious to what apple says, that "glorified browser" is not an app.....

I play on iOS and I cant even get the push notifications from the app to work so I get all my alerts from Torn PDA.
I will say however that I discovered Torn via the appstore. If the app didn't exist I likely would never have found this fantastic community.
I think it’s fair to say that when a majority of people are looking for a new mobile game to play they hit up the appstore or google play first. I would never have thought to look for a web based game since most of them are incompatible with safari and I’m too lazy to get a different browser.
So, maybe its just a glorified advert, but I’m still partial to it.

As someone who originally downloaded Torn from the app store thinking it was a quick tap tap game to kill time with while taking a deuce, thank you to the Torn app for the amount of new players it introduces into the game who eventually become hardcore competitive players.
More active users = more progression and updates. The app is good for Torn.

Torn PDA is a useful substitute. Especially if you are an Apple user and the iOS app is no longer supported.

It should have everything one could possibly want from a Torn app. Instantly login functionality with a single tap, notifications, plus a streamlined browser experience that is faster and has less bloat than your regular browser. If you're finding any of this untrue, then please submit a bug report and the app developers will check it out.
The Widgets aren't even working properly. I am sorry, but the app is buggy. It was buggy on iOS and it's buggy on Android.

Will the iOS app ever be supported again? I understand the reasons behind the decision to no longer support it.

It’s a shame but they explained this already, basically Apple are a bunch of idiots.
To be fair though, I’ve used the IOS app pretty much exclusively from day 1. It does me okay, no major issues ever.

Apple stated exactly what "APP" is - clearly there's loads of other people not having issues with Apple and developing and pushing iOS apps.
All official iOS "app" was - glorified browser.

That's what Ched has the community think, but the truth is far from it!
Unfortunately, Google takes 30% of all purchases. Which I assume is the main reason this hasn't been implemented yet. This is a really shit policy and I hope it's fixed soon.

I haven't used the app but it sounds like it should be rebranded as a mobile CityWatch replacement with Google/Apple pay support. However, I do like your idea about the script support on mobile. I imagine that would be a another browser with plug in support.
