Christmas town is in chaos. Hundreds of elves dead and Santa has been apprehended for their murder. Ms. Claus is missing and nobody knows where she has gone.

Now, old tales of Ms. Claus' past are being whispered among the elves and some have shared them with reporters. Who is Ms. Claus really? What is the dark secret from which she is trying to escape? The path leads back to where it all started, Sombertown.
This map is based on an idea I had for a short story but never got around to writing. I tried to make this into a sandbox with places to explore and multiple possible endings.

The vast majority of this map was created last Christmas by CRLF - who has been a longtime friend of mine. Unfortunately, she isn't playing at the moment... but the map is still pretty darn fantastic.

I don't have a lot of time for Torn these days, but I still have prize money from last year that was generously donated by a friend of mine, so I might end up doing some contests on the map again this year, like we did last year...

I haven't looked at it in awhile, but there should be a game section, a snow globe challenge, mazes, a jail with a secret exit, vehicles that transfer you to different locations on the map, funny messages about players, messages submitted by players, secret areas and a lot more. There's a lot to do on the map beyond searching for spawned items (or while you're searching for spawned items). Last year we gave away more than $1b in prizes for competitions for the map, so that was pretty crazy.

It was a really fun map to work on and a really cool map to wander around on - something we were both really proud of... But it basically shit on all of the work we did for it when hardly anybody went to it last year because loot maps were allowed. Why put in that much work if hardly anybody is going to even bother with it?

I'm getting annoyed just thinking about it, but it pretty much just sums up my opinion of Torn these days. Why put that much effort into a game that doesn't really give you anything in return and/or sabotages attempts to make the game more fun?

Perhaps this is why so many people are quitting (among other reasons).

I'll stop ranting - it's just pissing me off anyway.

Here's my 2020 Christmas Town submission.

The overall vibe is a desolate, wooded island in Canada's bitter cold winter.
You've foolishly gone out for a boat ride and have found yourself on an unfamiliar part of the island and must find your way home before you lose your fingers and toes to frostbite.

No large lonely stretches to wonder if you're heading into oblivion.
All the loot games, chests, and maybe even old Saint Nick himself if you manage to make it out alive.

This is my first map, and it's probably a little smaller than most.
I seriously underestimated the amount of work and the patience required to finish this project.
To all my map editors out there, I am suggesting a new title for us; "Christmas Town Map Editor Survivor."

Welcome to Grinchland!

You are a Detective. The Grinch has gone missing and the word on the street is Santa has something to do with it. You have been commissioned to investigate the Grinch's disappearance by the international Grinch fan club. The fate of Christmas is in your hands.

Hopefully this map will bring a laugh to your face as you explore the densely populated partially run down City of Grinchland. Don't forget to explore the slums. Please enjoy.

As you climb onto Santa's lap, his elves quickly tackle you and beat you to a pulp "Don't ever touch Santa AGAIN!". You wake up in the slums.

Once upon a time, a Torn noob started winning trailers from Leslie on the Wheel of Lame. At first she would sell them, but then got too lazy, lol. Then they started to accumulate. Soon, thanks to some rabid friends, she had enough trailers to start her very own trailer park (487 trailers and counting!) and Lady_T's Trashy Torn Trailer Park was created.(Still think there should be a Trailer Trash merit, Ched, pretty please?!?)

I submit for you, Lady's Trailer Park, the CT, complete with decorated trailers, a Pickup Truck Graveyard, a broken-down playground, (be careful where you step...) carnival area, hedge maze and more to explore! Hope you enjoy it!

Tents R Us

My map came to life last year when I was reading the flying book during December (oof) so I had nothing better to do than edit a map while flying. At first I just wanted to experiment on the different minigames but I just kept on expanding it, now it's a good-sized map with plenty of places to explore, and with hidden easter eggs too!

I took inspiration from games such as Legend of Zelda (the original version) but I took the minimalist approach because I don't like clutter.

I am constantly updating it slowly (real life duties prevent me from doing this full-time) but I hope you all enjoy exploring my map!

A role playing game with battles, levels, weaponry, riddles, floors, despair and joy!

While you can get some chests and loot, the main reason to play this map is to have fun and challenge yourself.

In this story, You wake up in a subspace called "Void", with NO memories whatsoever. You will unravel the mysteries through the journey.

A Linear Interactive Mini Novel


(Yes, It is a mini Novel because the story embedded was 21000+ words)




It has got the story covered in 5 Major Acts and 3 Snippets/Minor acts.




For the progression of the story, you have to clear 10 Major quests and 10 minor quests. (Be warned, failing in some quests will make you trapped forever aka you need to restart the entire game. Welp, the story needed it.)




The Play time is around 3-4 hours (just like a movie. And, even on the second run, it would take you 1 hour to travel through the map.)




P.S: The story narration is intentional and It is a finished product.

It was an awesome experience for the last two months of trials and errors. I am thankful for patient last minute testing by AiduManda and priepie. (Thanked them properly by giving a character in the game ;) )



The released version during the CT Event time was an easier one for people to finish it quick and to concentrate on story. This version is also easy if you pay attention to the small details you would be come across with.

Tiny Tim's Town: (Small Enough for Tim Himself!)
Map Size: 140 by 100

Small Enough for Tiny Tim to get there on Crutches and enjoy a Carnival! Don't venture too far south Tim, the Carnie's have their Camp setup and are slowly hoarding food from the Green houses to steal and take on the boats as they leave the Border after the Holidays!
