Congress has officially certified Joe Biden's victory 306-232. Trump has no path to victory, and after his failed coup, the Republican party has a lot of rebranding to do. Other than Rep Lamb almost getting into a fight, the process went smoothly and all the Republicans votes failed rather easily.
Trump announced, "the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th." Will the Republican party be able to survive this? There were enough of them that were willing to support this, and I have a hard time believing that they'll just go back to complaining about the deficit after Trump is gone.
Trump repeatedly refused to deploy the DC National Guard, and eventually Pence made the call to send them in. That, at least to me, is evidence enough that its time to invoke the 25th Amendment and get Trump out of power. If he was willing to withhold aide from Congress and allow these terrorists to attack and occupy the Capitol, who knows what types of havoc he will wreak in his final days in office.
