Anyone truly invested (more than 154 lousy days, ffs) in a faction is right to start a shitfest and question certain members’ intentions. Why wouldn’t they? In the end they are the ones facing the biggest loss.

Fundamentally, there are two different views of what a faction is. The NUKE view, practiced by Dealer and exhibited (poorly) by LAT, is that factions are little more than property of the leader. Which is fine if your faction is based around a rich leader buying you nice factions.
The other mentality (which I was brought up in, admittedly) is that while factions do have leaders, they are product of tremendous effort and investment by their members. The faction is less a product than a legacy. Rekker is an example of a leader with this mentality.

I don’t believe you saw me exhibit that view anywhere? Factions are about members, I don’t generally give a shit who owns them. Dealer owns mine - doesn’t stop me putting effort into building it for 2 years. If it was sold, I’d still be in this faction, with this team. Members here know me as their leader largely, some the current leader, and all know dealer owns but probably just consider us their leaders.

That's how you know the faction is lost, when people see profit over history. Why not pass it on to another Evo member who will take care of the legacy.

There isn't really a need to pass factions around anymore from owner to caretaker unless the owner is actually planning on not logging into torn for 30 days. The current rank systems enable members to be empowered to do what is needed to keep the faction going. I recently took two months off and maintained the leader rank by resetting the timer ever 25 days. Some people see factions as investments, others like me see it as a place to hang with friends and set some group goals.

When things settle down., what I found with my Mom that she enjoyed was little rides to see something new in town like a new building, get an ice cream, or a full meal or visit one of her old friends. Take her to a place your Dad liked take your Mom. Play music that is from her days of dating your Dad and her youth and then listen: let her tell you stories that you've not heard, and others you've heard a million times. She'll probably want to talk and share and you'll be glad you were there to listen.
I am truly sorry for your loss. I know what you're dealing with and it's not easy, but you made a good choice and DeaLer is a good man.

You putting an example of us as a joke exactly says how much you know about Factions and their History and how much you respect it.

You will never get the people who left or are displeased about the situation from evo then... Working on a faction that someone else owns and that someone sees is as investment or profit is not the way it goes.
Like hank also mentioned, in this day and age there's no reason why factions can't be run by committee even while retaining the lead position, so how do you expect people to simply accept a sale?

That literally happens with every merge or sale of a faction. It’s part and parcel.
These sound like questions for the seller rather than the buyer. Other folk offered Tmax merges and sales this past wee while. Many many folk would have jumped at the chance to buy it, and make it their new main etc.

Hey. Sorry not been active had my family to think about. I haven’t had time to go through the forums either. But But let me give you some quick background summary of how I acquired this faction and the racket and to why I sold and not passed it down. Why I didn’t go to Oran’s 70b offer and went to nukes much less offer
I brought Evolution from JJ for upwards of 20b+ It had some decent land, where PnB is located, BSG old land. I purchased it before rackets was introduced. Spent 20hrs a day recruiting nobody helped me. Plan was to create a chill faction no chaining required in a decent faction with decent specials. But we would chain to get more specials and players can get the chaining merits. Nobody volunteered to help pay for these chains. I paid for them. Rackets got introduced some time later. And R extorted the whole map. We formed AK and still had no rackets. R then brought HV called it HVR but the land had 1 racket on it. I knew R didn’t wanna stay around here so I approached Hank to acquire the land we sit on now. He proposed a deal worth 1b ( I can’t remember exactly) so we don’t have to fight them for it. I accepted as a war could cost more. Again no members volunteered to put their hands in their pockets to help pay for this, so I did again. ( I mean it’s my faction so I don’t expect members to pay for my factions stuff )
So I brought the land from HVR when it had a racket on it, so we was never fought for this racket it was my purchase.. In that mean time and over time I donated upwards of 50k Xanax. as evo at the time had 7% gym gains. While everyone else was on 13%+ I knew we had to train hard to unlock these. In my time here I’ve given away About 30+ SE’s used 10’s of billions in revives and cans points FHC for chains. The only war we had was MMCP and that was to help protect LS land, it was the first real war we ever had since my purchase. They was insane and cost us about 12-15b in revives and boosters alone. We never had a AK war fund then. And no members volunteered to help pay for this.. again why would I expect that?
We never was needed to defend the racket land. After that we never had a real war until the 7hr IBB war and again that wasn’t to protect the racket that was to protect LS land. So no nobody here fought for this land it was acquired by me purchasing it.
I’ve put in about 2.5b to the AK war pot. Spent billions in the reward discord system we used to have, ran a daily lotto in discord for years, giving away millions per day. I did not keep track of how much I spent on giveaway items & discord rewards point shop, why would I? I did spend a few billion on the discord server itself to get it up snd running, still giving away items. The faction description banner cost us hundreds of millions. Little things you don’t keep track of.
I never brought a DB using racket money. When the MMCP war came about they threatened us with a DB, so to counter this I dug my hand in my personal pocket with a friend to purchase a DB from L4. This was nothing to do with the faction. As by then we only had the land and racket for a few months. So that DB remains my friends not anyone else’s
we made a DB here yes, it was to give anyone here who never had the merit a chance to get it. Saving members hundreds of millions in their personal money to get the merit.
I sold the DB at a loss, meaning selling it for less then it cost to make. As I did not see the need to own one, like I said only got it to help you all anyway.
Used that money to put towards a set of dual MP5’s. The duals cost so much more then we had again I put my hand in my personal pockets to help this purchase. I decided to get these to give you all the chance to get the 2 damage merits which players charge 100m for. I’m sure 80% of the faction got these merits So again saving you all hundreds of millions as I felt I’m trying to help anyway I can to save you all money getting the rare merits.
Sold the duals at again a loss. As someone approached me to buy them and the demand wasn’t enough to keep them here anymore.
I was going to merge with Nuke last year due to the faction overwhelming me. I was doing it all by myself. AK council, wars, chains, recruiting, ocs, you name it I was doing it all. Athene took on banker role from the beginning and that was a life saver. BB a took on some oc duties, and I got some help recruiting a little. At first was nice to take the weight off so didn’t need to merge anymore. But apart from banking I ended up doing it all again and when my dad passed away it went from overwhelming weight to catastrophic burden. My head was spinning I approached Dealer. Oran offered me 70b for evo and I did not approach him I approached dealer and took a much less offer to ensure the future of Evolution is safe. Why sell not hand it over? I needed to step away from the faction emotionally. If I still owned evo technically i would be too involved when or if evo is ever warred thinking about what to do if we lose and where to go ect I needed to but that burden on someone else so I can login train log off. If a war happens do what most here do and join wall and log off.
During the last years planned merger nobody from evo came to me to purchase evo instead. Nobody came to offer to buy a stake in Evo ownership. Not even a hint of a suggestion of this. So why would I think to offer it back to the members when they wasn’t interested before. Of course I would of if I had any idea members was interested. So I apologise for not asking you all. Like I said my head wasn’t and isn’t still in the right place.
As for what’s left of the racket proceeds. It’s about 30b maybe a bit less. But as I paid the evo, paid for the land the racket was on originally & we didn’t fight for it after I dug my hands in my pockets loads of times before rackets was introduced. I figured this is paying me back. When you sell a house you take the furniture. You don’t have to give your tenants a % of the rental income. Might be different if we had constantly warred for this racket. Warred for it to acquire it. But we didn’t.
Back in the days when members joined factions for the specials. In return they chain. I tried to change it up not asking evo members to chain much and give much more back but doing this it seemed players became a custom to the generosity and that’s my fault.
Again if evo members wish for me to leave I will. I would rather stay & when my head levels out I will try make it right with whoever feels they are financially out of pocket with the evo sale
